# Connect Stanza to Claude

> Add Stanza as a custom connector to read your Context, save drafts, and edit articles from Claude.

Connect with your existing Stanza account. See [Connect your agent](/integrations/mcp)
for what the connection can do.

## Add Stanza

1. Sign in to Claude and open **Customize → Connectors**.
2. Select **+ Add → Add custom connector**.
3. Name it `Stanza`, enter `https://app.runstanza.com/api/mcp`, and continue.
4. Keep **OAuth** authentication and select **Add**. If Claude asks which OAuth client to
use, choose **Use Claude's published identity**. Don't choose **Register
automatically** or enter your own client credentials.
5. Sign in on `app.runstanza.com` when it opens. If it doesn't open automatically,
select **Connect** next to Stanza. Review the permissions and select **Allow**.
6. In a conversation, open **+ → Connectors** and turn on **Stanza**.

No API key is needed.

## Team and Enterprise workspaces

A workspace owner or administrator first adds Stanza through
**Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web**, using the same URL and
settings. Members then find Stanza under **Customize → Connectors** and select
**Connect** to sign in with their own Stanza account.

Menu labels can vary by plan. See
[Anthropic's custom connector guide](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/11175166-get-started-with-custom-connectors-using-remote-mcp)
for current requirements.

## Check the connection

In a new conversation with Stanza turned on, ask:

> Use Stanza to list the projects I can access.

Then name your project:

> Use the Acme project in Stanza. Read our voice page and summarize the guidance.

Once you've written something, ask Claude to save the draft to your project, then open
the link it returns.

## Edit an article in the conversation

When you ask Claude to review or edit one of your articles, Stanza opens the article right
in the conversation. You can also ask for it:

> Open the launch post from my Acme project in Stanza.

Type in the article directly, or ask Claude for changes in your next message. Claude's
edits show up in the article as it makes them, and everything saves automatically to the
same live article your team sees in Stanza.

For more room, choose **Expand editor** at the top of the article. Use Claude's own
control to return to the conversation. Choose **Open in Stanza** to open the article in
the full app.

## If setup gets stuck

If the custom connector option is missing, ask your workspace administrator to add
Stanza. If sign-in fails, check that you used the full URL, including `/api/mcp`, and
didn't choose **Register automatically**.

For anything else, see [troubleshooting](/integrations/mcp#troubleshooting).
