# Organizations and members

> Organize projects, invite teammates, and choose who can open each project.

An **organization** is your company or team in Stanza. It holds one or more
**projects**, and each project has its own Context, drafts, and members. Most teams use
one project per brand.

Everyone in an organization is an **Owner** or a **Member**. Owners invite people,
choose which projects they can open, and create projects. Members work in the projects
they've been added to.

## Switch organizations and projects

Use the switcher at the top of the left rail to move between your organizations and
projects. Owners can also choose **New project** there. To start a separate organization,
choose **Create organization**.

## Organization settings

Open **Settings** at the bottom of the left rail and choose **Organization settings**.

- **General** shows the organization's picture, name, your role, and its projects.
- **Members** (owners only) lists everyone in the organization, the projects each person
  can open, and pending invitations.

## Invite a teammate

1. In **Organization settings**, open **Members** and choose **Invite a teammate**.
2. Enter their email address and choose the projects they can open.
3. Choose **Send invitation**.

Your teammate gets an email with a link to join. They sign in or create an account with
that email address, then choose **Join workspace**. Invitations expire after 7 days; to
renew one, choose **Resend** under **Pending invitations**. Choose **Revoke** to cancel
it.

Invitations you add while setting up a new project are sent once the project's brand
guide is ready.

## Change access or remove someone

- **Project access:** in the **Members** list, select the projects shown for a person,
  then check or uncheck projects.
- **Remove member:** open the **⋯** menu on their row and choose **Remove member**. An
organization must always keep at least one owner.

Removing someone from a project also stops their connected agent from reaching it.

## Your profile

Open **Settings** at the bottom of the left rail and choose **Profile settings** to change
your display name and profile picture. Your name and picture appear on your comments and
next to the drafts you're editing. You can switch between light and dark appearance from
the same menu.
