Stanza works with MCP clients beyond ChatGPT and Claude, such as coding agents and desktop apps, as long as the client supports:

  • Remote MCP servers over HTTP (Streamable HTTP).
  • OAuth sign-in using a client ID metadata document (CIMD).

Stanza doesn’t use API keys, and it doesn’t support dynamic client registration (DCR). If your client only offers those, it can’t connect yet.

Add Stanza#

  1. In your client’s MCP settings, add a remote server named Stanza with the URL https://app.runstanza.com/api/mcp.
  2. Choose OAuth for authentication. If the client asks how to register, choose its client metadata (CIMD) option.
  3. When Stanza’s sign-in page opens, sign in, review the permissions, and select Allow.

Menu names differ between clients; check your client’s documentation for where to add a remote MCP server.

Check the connection#

Ask your agent:

Use Stanza to list the projects I can access.

See Connect your agent for what the connection can do, prompts to try, and troubleshooting.
